You Have a Name

You have a name.  Not the one that auto-fills on forms.  Not the one you’ve learned to call yourself when you talk to yourself about yourself.

You have a better name.

You have a name God calls you.  Israel, not Jacob.  Peter, not Simon.  Delighted in, not deserted.

This is your truest name.  You love it.  It makes you feel seen, accepted, empowered, inspired, resilient, and relaxed.

You have a name that represents the best of who you are on your best day.

You have a name that shows out without showing off.

You have a name.

You have a name that resonates with what your soul longs for.  A name that your most fervent passion ignites for.

You have a name that heaven is delighted to say.  You have a name that darkness is terrified of.  You have a name that imprints hope on those who hear it.

You have a name that the enemy of your soul has tried to vandalize, monopolize, terrorize, and minimize.

But there is a Name above every name.  At this Name, Jesus, every chaotic, distracting, distorting, damning sound is silenced.

The One who holds this Name – Jesus – is the One who calls you by your true name.

You have a name that displays the splendor of His Name – Jesus – in a way no other name can.

Do you want to hear your name?  Just ask Jesus.
